Meet the Founder
Brian S. Beckley
Founder & CEO
Brian Beckley brings more than twenty-eight years of experience in college counseling, admissions, leadership, student development and public service. His calling is to walk alongside families with a blend of professional expertise, Christian mentorship, and values-rooted guidance.
Brian has spent his educational career supporting students through some of the most formative years of their lives. He’s reviewed applications, made admissions decisions, built college counseling programs, partnered with admission deans and directors, and walked thousands of students through the journey from high school to college and beyond.
Brian is committed to helping young people grow in character, clarity, and spiritual health as they navigate the college process and begin to witness God’s purposeful plan for their futures. Brian believes students flourish when they are supported by adults who both care deeply and understand the importance of developing healthy, productive habits. His highly individualized approach reflects a desire to help students pursue excellence without losing sight of who God created them to be. Brian brings warmth, wisdom, and an intentional partnership to every family he serves.
Brian founded Virtue Advising and Mentorship having previously served as Director of College Counseling at Brentwood Academy, in Brentwood, Tennessee, Director of College Counseling at Webb School of Knoxville in Knoxville, Tennessee and as Associate Director of College Counseling at McCallie School in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Upon graduating from the College of Charleston, Brian also served as a police officer for Charleston Police Department in Charleston, South Carolina, and has remained active in protective services with a focus on school and church security. Brian has served on school security teams and dedicates time to Agape Tactical out of Franklin, Tennessee, where he serves as Director of School Safety, assisting in the training of both school and church security teams.
